Dexter Wingfield, while attending East Carolina University, in Greenville, North Carolina, recognized that the Lord was calling him to devote his life to ministry.  He began attending a local church in Greenville and began preparing for a life in ministry.  He was later ordained into the ministry as full-time assistant pastor there.  Over a decade later, he went into full-time traveling ministry, speaking in churches, at conferences, and on college campuses.
